Nathdwara is a lively town around the Shrinath Ji Temple. This holy town is famous for its “Pichwai” paintings with Lord Krishna occupying the center stage in ones depicting “Raas-Leelas”. There are hundreds of artists in Nathdwara who earn their living by painting. Most of the artists live in the popular “Chitaron Ki Gali”. The art works here beautifully portray the artist’s love for the Lord, making the art form distinct from all other forms. The devotees take along these framed pictures of Shrinath Ji, made by the local artists. Along with the Pichwai Paintings, this town is also famous for its “name of the rice” stalls.
